Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Decentralised Science

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Decentralised Science. This position offers the chance to work with a leading research team in the School of Computer Science, collaborating with experts like Associate Professor Jiangshan Yu.
The role involves developing algorithms, protocols, and tools for decentralised and distributed systems, conducting high-quality independent research, and contributing to the team’s culture. Responsibilities include mentoring students, participating in seminars, and presenting research at top conferences.
Key Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science or related field (or near completion).
- Strong publication record in distributed databases/systems.
- Expertise in areas like distributed computing, protocol design, or game theory.
- Experience with proof-of-concept implementation is a plus.
Salary: $109,301–$116,679 per annum + 17% superannuation.
