Australian Catholic University (ACU) is offering a fully funded PhD scholarship at the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry. The successful applicant will join the ARC Discovery Project “Translation and Transformation in Late Antiquity”, exploring how translation shaped knowledge and culture between the 4th and 6th centuries CE.
Research may focus on Biblical or non-Biblical texts and will examine the role of translation across diverse cultural, religious, and political contexts.
You’ll work with an international team led by Assoc. Prof. Michael Hanaghan, and have opportunities for collaborative publishing, mentorship, and participation in a conference at ACU’s Rome campus.
