Postdoctoral Researcher Positions in Human-Computer Interaction

We are looking for passionate postdoctoral researchers to join our team at The Ohio State University (OSU) and the OSU Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). This is a unique chance to work in a truly interdisciplinary environment, bringing together healthcare professionals, AI/computer science experts, and specialists in health communication.

As a postdoc, you’ll:

• Design and evaluate AI-powered systems to support clinical decision-making and disease management.

• Work closely with clinicians and patients through surveys and interviews.

• Publish your findings in leading computer science and biomedical journals.

• Collaborate with Dr. Ping Zhang (Computer Science & Engineering) and Dr. Weidan Cao (College of Medicine & Public Health).

This is a full-time, 12-month position, with the possibility of renewal and career growth based on performance and shared interests.

Who we’re looking for:

• PhD in computer science, information science, biomedical/health informatics, or a related field.

• Strong background in human-centered design, usability testing, and HCI research methods.

• Experience building interactive systems with AI/ML.

• A strong publication record in HCI conferences (e.g., CHI, CSCW, UIST, IMWUT).

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
